ITINERARY

DAY 1

MILAN

Morning

 

Start the journey at 
Hotel Straf, an unconventional building with an intellectual design at the heart of Milan.

Afternoon

 

Private tasting session at Pasticceria Marchesi, Milan’s oldest fine pastry shop.

Evening

 

Personal dinner menu at new Michelin-starred restaurant Contraste. Tell the chef what you feel like, and he will cook something special just for you.

 

Return to the hotel.

DAY 2

POLLENZO

Morning

 

A private driver will take you to your next gourmet destination: Pollenzo, UNESCO World Heritage Site and headquarters of both the Slow Food international association and the UNISG – University of Gastronomic Sciences.

Afternoon

 

Guided tour of the Langhe and Roero area signed by Banca del Vino. Discovering the best places for seasonal vegetables, artisanal cheese and salami, coffee and of course outstanding Barbaresco and Roero wines.

Evening

 

Dinner at The Garden Restaurant. Piedmont is a cradle of Italian traditional cooking and Pollenzo’s Agenzia interprets this important cultural heritage according to the principles of the Slow Food philosophy.

Spend the night at Albergo dell’Agenzia. Enjoy your stay at this historic Savoy estate and royal residence.

DAY 3

ALBA

Morning

 

Visit the Wine Bank for a short introduction on the complex history of the Agenzia, the University of Gastronomic Sciences and the Slow Food movement. A wine tasting complements the tour, with a fine selection of up to five glasses.

Afternoon

 

Your personal driver will take you from Alba to the Ceretto Winery. An immersive experience dedicated to wine lovers and connoisseurs, with focus on the Barolo and Barbaresco vineyard/cru.

Evening

 

Transfer to Villa Prato, a historical 18th-century residence turned exclusive hotel, surrounded by verdant nature that every visitor falls in love with, among the Piedmontese hills the UNESCO has declared a World Heritage Site.

End your day with an innovative wellness opportunity at the spa, with grappa-therapy treatments.

 

Return to the hotel.

DAY 4

TURIN

Morning

 

Leave for Turin. Your accommodation is at the Turin Palace Hotel: a beautiful blend of art deco, waterfalls of blown glass and contemporary art, in the setting of a prestigious 1850 urban palace.

Afternoon

 

Visit of the historical Cioccolateria Baratti & Milano, a café that made the history of Italian confectionery. The high quality of its products has been rewarded with important acknowledgments since its establishment, starting with lo less than the Savoy coat of arms and title of “supplier of the Royal House” in the 19th century.

Evening

 

Dinner at Cannavacciuolo Bistrot – the latest restaurant opened by Italian Michelin-starred chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo.

 

Return to the hotel.

DAY 5

TURIN

Morning

 

 

Visit Guido Gobino’s chocolate laboratory and his boutique shop to learn the secrets of artisanal chocolate.

Afternoon

 

Enjoy a Barolo wine experience at the Bricco del Cucù vineyard, and visit the chapel of Saint Florence to admire the gothic frescoes that inspired the winemaker’s labels.

Evening

 

Return to the hotel.

DAY 6

BOLOGNA

Morning

 

Leave for Bologna (2 hours and 20 minutes by train).

Afternoon

 

Transfer to the LʼArt Hotel Novecento: tradition and design in the very center of Bologna.

Evening

 

Dinner at typical Italian restaurant Diana. Enjoy a walking tour of the city with a professional guide, along the oldest porticoes in Italy and all the way to the famous square with the fountain of Neptune.

DAY 7

BOLOGNA

Morning

 

Private cooking lesson at the house of a Bolognese chef, followed by a tour of the market at the heart of the historic city center.

Afternoon

 

Visit Fico Eataly World to discover the world’s largest agri-food park.
